In Chapter Six, the class discussed the idea that glamour comes from envy. I agree with Sturken and Cartwright fully on that idea.  I never thought of envy that particular way.  But everything I percieve as glamourous is because I envy someone.  I want someone’s look or valuables because I envy their look or materials.  I want them for myself so therefor they’re glamorous.
