In class we began watching the movie Idiocracy. The movie poses the idea that the human race will become idiots because technological advances are making our lives easier for us. Parts of the movie have a valid point. We don’t even have to know how to use a vaccum anymore. (As shown when the vacuum thing malfunctions.) However, I don’t see this idea as a large threat. The reason why there are so many technological advances that make our life easier is because there are people smart enough to create them and humans are always trying to become smarter or create the next innovative product.
